LCF is an active part of the Living Body of Christ, abiding in the unity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, bound in the fellowship of the Spirit, inseparable from all who call upon the name of the Lord, Christ Jesus, resting in His Word, serving Him and all who are seeking deliverance from the chaos of the world, making disciples and celebrating all of His acts of Grace, Mercy, Redemption, Resurrection, and New Life, until His Son returns in glory and power to renew the heavens and the earth, having done away with the old world of the flesh, and glorifying His saints by making them His Bride, that we would become partakers of the abundant life He has prepared for us for eternity.

LCF is open to all who call upon the name of Jesus Christ or Yeshua Messiah, as the only way of Salvation, hold the Word of God as without error in the original languages of Hebrew and Greek, and trust in Them as the very Word of God, in all areas of life, and desire to please God and enjoy Him forever, in the fellowship of the Body of Christ.

Lighthouse Christian Fellowship is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. We are a relatively new denomination formed in 1973 that is "faithful to the Scriptures, true to the reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission." Our church is based on the foundation of Holy Scripture, the Westminster Confession of Faith, and our Book of Church Order. Links to our denomination's website and the above documents can be found below.

What We Believe:

THE BIBLE

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible, which is inerrant and infallible in the original autographs written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. The sixty-six books of the Bible, through the ongoing stewardship of the Holy Spirit, are the sole and final authority for belief, life, and practice, and guides believers to please God and enjoy Him forever. The Bible is the very words of the Father’s mind and will, manifested in the Word, Jesus Messiah, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, allowing for the personality of those whom the Word was committed to and the grammatical form of the original languages, but in every sense, word for word directly from the Father to the writing; no word wasted or missing from His revealed will.

GOD

We believe there is one infinite and perfect God, eternally existing in three distinct and equal persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each possesses the characteristics of personality, as well as the nature and perfections of deity. We believe God is loving and compassionate, gracious and merciful, but also just and true, jealous and holy, and is wholly sovereign over all His Creation and His creatures.

CREATION

We believe God is sovereign and created all things in heaven and earth for His glory, in six days. He rested from His labors on the seventh day, and declared all creation to be very good. We believe God created Adam and Eve in His own image and likeness; therefore, all human beings have value because they are made in the image of God, yet all are in need of God’s grace and mercy because of sin.

SIN

We believe through Adam’s sin, or fall, the image of God in humanity was marred, and that in their fallen state, all men and women are born guilty before God, unable to save themselves, and with a nature in rebellion against Him. As a result, all people stand condemned and have need of reconciliation to God through Jesus, the Messiah of Israel.

ISRAEL (THE BODY OF JESUS MESSIAH)

We believe God chose Israel as His covenant people before the foundation of the world. He made an everlasting and irrevocable covenant with Abraham and his seed, Jesus, the Messiah. It includes the election and perpetuity of Israel as God’s chosen people, by the promises of God the Father to His Son, Jesus Messiah, through whom all families of the earth will be blessed, as the inheritor of all the promises made to Abraham. True Israel, Abraham’s spiritual children, circumcised in the heart and not necessarily in the flesh, is a kingdom of priests, a light to the nations, a witness to God’s faithfulness, and the continuation of God’s Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, tribes, and tongues. Israel is betrothed to Jesus Messiah, with Jew and Gentile abiding together as one Body, with Jesus Messiah, the bridegroom, as head. The Bride of Jesus Messiah is a spiritual house, the abode of the glory of God within every believer. The “church” is only an outward manifestation of the Visible body of Jesus Messiah, while true Israel is an inward manifestation of chosen believers, Jew and Gentile, of all ages, waiting for the consummation of all things, when Jesus Messiah will return in power and majesty on the Last Day.

JESUS MESSIAH (MESSIAH = CHRIST, “THE ANOINTED ONE”)

We believe God the Son has existed eternally as the Word, became a human being, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin, yet He remained fully divine and is fully man. He lived a sinless life which allowed Him to become the New Adam, in order to restore His chosen people to God and grant them access to Abba, Father through the veil of His blood shed for us. He offered himself, once and for all time, as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of Israel, turned away the wrath of the Father, suffered Hell for His Bride, was raised from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and continues to intercede for His people. As the risen Messiah, Jesus holds the offices of Prophet, Priest, and King, exercises divine authority from God’s right hand, and is reigning as King over Israel, even now, until the Last Day.

SALVATION

We believe salvation is available only through Jesus Messiah and His finished work on the Cross, by the free gift of faith, from God by grace, and through that faith alone, and not by works. In accord with the New Covenant promise, believers in Jesus Messiah are forgiven of their sins, given a repentant spirit, reconciled to God, regenerated and indwelt by the Holy Spirit, empowered for godliness, granted abundant life, and sealed by the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption.

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the full deity and personality of the Holy Spirit. He bears witness to Jesus Messiah through the Word of God, He convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, baptizing them into the Body, and equips them for the Great Commission and the common good. He indwells, sanctifies, fills, guides, helps, and produces the fruit of the Spirit in believers, and gives gifts to the Body for the sake of God’s chosen people, and perseveres them until the Last Day.

LAST DAY (LAST THINGS)

We believe that when Jesus Messiah returns on the Last Day, He will put all enemies under His feet, the heavens and the earth will be made new, believers will abide in joy and fellowship with God in the new heavens and new earth forever, while unbelievers will suffer eternal separation from God and abide in Hell forever, and that the age will culminate with the Marriage Feast of the Lamb, this same Jesus Messiah, who has wed His betrothed Bride, Israel.
